Project Description

Museum of Rome in Braschi Palace

The museum is located in Palazzo Braschi, a baroque-neoclassical palace located in the Renaissance heart of Rome.

The vast and rich collection exhibited gives importance to Roman social history and artistic activities from the Middle Ages until the early ‘900s.

The museum is on two floors with 12 rooms on each floor. Other rooms include libraries, an exhibition of antique carriages and offices dedicated to the administration of the museum.

The Braschi Palace is also characterized by a monumental ramp in baroque style. It is decorated with neoclassical statues, stuccoes (mouldings), military decorations, and a splendid dome.

The museum has paintings, sculptures, tables made of prestigious wood, precious stones, medal collections, chests of drawers, a tapestry with the bee symbol of the Barberini family, artistic mirrors, ceramics and medals.

Bras Cafè is an elegant Art Bar at Palazzo Braschi with entrance from Piazza Navona.
Open for breakfast and lunch, afternoon tea and aperitif, Bras Cafè is the perfect choice for everyone: with tasty breakfasts and a wide variety of dishes for lunch. The evening aperitif is a journey through art, music, cocktails and finger food in a breathtaking location.
