Project Description

Rome is vastly known as the world’s capital of fashion, placing itself just under the “big four”.

Valentino, Fendi, Bulgari, Laura Biagiotti, Gattinoni, Brioni and Renato Balestra are just a few of the main fashion houses and luxury goods’ companies that have their headquarters, or were founded, in Rome; for haute couture, we mustn’t forget that the legendary Sorelle Fontana were the first to give an energetic impulse and prestige to “Made in Italy” by dressing some of the most important women in the world.

You can find the top Italian and international brands in the area named Tridente, full of elegant streets that spread out from Piazza del Popolo. The best known of all is Via dei Condotti. Its buildings harbour the workshops of some of the most talented tailors, and it is sprinkeld with ateliers of extremely important stylists and exclusive jewellers.

The same glamorous atmosphere can be found in Via del Babuino, often associated with the breathtaking Madison Avenue of New York, or Via Bocca di Leone, Via Della Croce, Via Delle Carrozze, Via Borgognona, Via Frattina, Piazza San Lorenzo in Lucina, Largo Goldoni and Via Della Fontanella Borghese, where again you can find worldwide known brands.

Alta Roma

is the capitoline fashion week. It takes place on two dates, one in January and one in July, and it is a great occasion for the historical Italian maisons to meet the modern international productive realities.
