Shops in Rome are open Monday to Saturday from 09:00-13:00 and 16:00-20:00. Supermarkets and department stores stay open all day and are open on Sundays.

The Campo de Fiori market is open Monday to Saturday 08:00-13:00.

With a green cross outside the window, pharmacies (farmacia) usually have the same opening hours as shops.
Some are open all night and others offer a 24-hour service.
Often pharmacies work shifts during the summer months and weekends, so if you go to a pharmacy which is closed, you can find alternative addresses, opening times and details of weekend or night shifts displayed outside all the local pharmacies.
