Villa Celimontana is a green area on top of Colle Celio, between the Colosseum and the Terme di Caracalla (the Caracalla Roman Baths).

This renaissance structure goes back to the 1500s.

As in the other historical villas of Rome, many different remains decorating the park belong to different historical periods and are of different origin. Among these are the Egyptian obelisque to Ramses II and parts of the Hilariana Basilica built in the mid 200s.

International jazz music shows are held here in summer.
