Project Description

City Council’s Rose Garden

The Rose Garden in Rome is located on the Aventino hillside, in front of the Palatine ruins. The area is about 10,000 square meters wide and it is located on a slight downhill. It is divided into two parts by Via di Valle Murcia.

You can find about 1,200 different types of roses in this garden. In the main area you can admire the different species which contributed to the evolution of the rose from ancient times to this day. They are divided into “botanical roses”, “antique roses” and “modern roses”.

The park is open to the public all day long from May to October.
